With their ammunition secured, the Marines defeated the Cacos at Fort Dipitie. The gallantry of Gunnery Sergeant Daly was recognized. He received his second Medal of Honor for meritorious conduct while serving with the 15th Company of Marines in Haiti on October 22, 1915.
